Cornish locals will tell you that Cornwall has its own climate and that the weather always confounds and contradicts the weather reports. It rarely gets really cold but it can get stormy and wet. In the summer, if you get the weather, there really is no better place to visit.

Cornwall and particularly the North Coast is a great place to visit at any time of year and in any weather. It is steeped in history and its stunning scenery provided inspiration for many of Daphne Du Maurier's books. Jamaica Inn visited and written about by Daphne du Maurier is 30 minutes from 10 Treglyn Cottage.

Trebetherick just 3 miles away is the home to St Enodoc's church, a place of inspiration to Sir John Betjamin and indeed his final resting place. Additionally there is St Enodoc's Golf Club which has two 18 hole links courses, its natural terrain is both beautiful and challenging.

The rugged ruins of King Arthur's fortress, Tintagel are just 12 miles away. There are breathtaking views to be seen along the coastline.

The Eden Project, home to the largest indoor rainforest in the world is 18 miles away with plenty of seasonal activities suitable for all ages.
